Vademecum Lamp by Joe Colombo for Kartell, 1968
The Vademecum desk or table lamp was designed by Joe Colombo in 1968 and edited by Kartell in 1969.
The orange base is made of Cycolac plastic and the lampshade is made of stainless steel. Both parts are connected with a pole that holds the lampshade in use upright,
it also allows the lamp to be folded to protect the lightbulbs during transportation. The lamp has a double switch, the 2 lamps can be lit separately.
This lamp is in very good vintage condition. It is marked on the base: Kartell Binasco (Milano), Design Joe Colombo, Made in Italy.
This lamp is no longer in production. It is a collector’s item.
