This unique square mirror was designed by Belgian artist Michel Martens (1921-2006), one of the most fascinating in post-war glass art in Belgium.

The glass artist began his mirror sculptures in 1968. In this work there is a strong relationship with the space in which the artwork is placed, parts of the interior or windows behind are reflected in the work. The reflexion becomes an important part of this artwork.

The design of Martens consists of a geometric composition of squares, which through the precise placement and design, seek the boundary between an artwork and a functional object as a mirror
