Set of 8 Leather Soft Pad Alu Group Chairs by Eames for Herman Miller
Set of 8 Leather Soft Pad Alu Group Chairs by Eames for Herman Miller
The Soft Pad Aluminum Group chair was designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller.
They developed the Soft Pad chair in 1969 as a luxury version of their Aluminum Group chair, introduced in 1958.
These low back armchairs are upholstered in ochre leather.
This unique colour is not available anymore. The foot, structure and armrests are made of polished aluminum.
The chairs rotate 360 degrees and are extremely comfortable.
These vintage chairs are in very good condition.
The leather is soft and clean. There is some age-related wear on the corners.
One chair has a little rip at one corner (see detail picture). The aluminum has some signs of age and use.
These 8 chairs were produced by Herman Miller in the 1970s for Mobilier International in Paris as you can see on the labels.
