Sculptural Italian Ceramic Vase by Bertoncello

This sculptural pique fleurs vase was created and made by Bertoncello Ceramiche D’ Arte in Italy in the 1960s.
This brown chimney vase is an expressive piece.
The vase is in good condition, a minimal small ship is missing, almost not visible (see detail picture).

Bertoncello Ceramiche D’Arte was founded in the 1950s. It was best known for its sculptural, geometric shapes. The vases were moulded using white clay.  Many items were glazed with a mottled brown or beige colour, known as Screziato.  The company closed in 1999.
