Rare Low White Desk by Jules Wabbes
Rare Low White Desk by Jules Wabbes
This small white desk was designed by Jules Wabbes in the late 1960s for student rooms for the University of Leuven.
In the lesser-known furniture production of his final years, Wabbes seems to renege completely on the 1960s glamour of Mobilier Universel’s best years.
He experimented with cheap materials and accepting commissions for a different target audience, as was the case with the design of the student rooms.
This low desk is made of white laminate. The handles are marked WABBES. This special and rare desk is in very good vintage condition, with normal signs of age and use. The chromed frame has some oxidation spots.
