This very rare children’s desk was designed by Willy Van der Meeren for Tubax in the 1950s. It is a unique piece, measure made for a private client.
The strong black lacquered frame is nice detailed with a wooden magazine rack. The top, made of formica, has a beautiful black and white design.
The 2 wooden boxes can be used for little desk stuff.
This desk is in excellent vintage condition, complete authentic of the 1950s.

Willy Van Der Meeren (1923 – 2002) played a prominent role in the Belgian furniture design of the 1950s. From 1951 to 1958 he designed for Tubax a whole catalogue of furniture for “the contemporary home”.
