Pair of Night Stands by Pieter De Bruyne
Pair of Night Stands by Pieter De Bruyne
This pair of night stands was designed by the Belgian designer Pieter De Bruyne around 1960.
These one drawer night stands are made of olive wood. They are very nice and pure detailed.
The night stands are in good condition, with normal signs of age and use. One night stand has some discoloration on the top.
The price is for the pair.
In the 1950s, Pieter De Bruyne (1931-1987) joined the Belgian furniture designers who concentrated on modern social furniture. He was convinced that furniture, in addition to its aesthetic value, must be reasonably priced. His early work was characterized by rational construction and sober structures.
Pieter De Bruyne was very strict and accurate, unhappy experiences with furniture manufacturers, who always changed his designs, forced him to return to one-off, handmade pieces in the 1960s.
In the 1970s and 1980s he evolved to the post-modern style.
