Mint Green and Yellow Wardrobe Cabinet by Willy Van Der Meeren
Mint Green and Yellow Wardrobe Cabinet by Willy Van Der Meeren
This wardrobe cabinet was designed by the Belgian designer Willy Van Der Meeren for Tubax in the early 1950s.
It is a classic example of the Mid-Century Belgian social furniture design: those cabinets were used in schools and factories.
This small wardrobe cabinet has 2 lacquered metal sliding doors with the elegant wooden handels.
The body is made of a black lacquered metal frame with wooden panels.
Inside there is a hanging-rod and 3 shelves.
This cabinet can be used as a wardrobe or for a variety of other storage needs.
It is in very good original condition, with normal signs of age and use.
The doors still have their original mint green and yellow paint, which is quite exceptional.
Often those cabinets are repainted and renovated.
We’ve cleaned it thoroughly and let in its original condition as it should be for a vintage piece of furniture.
