Mid-Century Modern Tree Trunk Coffee Table attr. to C. Auböck

This sculptural tree trunk coffee table is definitely from the 1950s. It can be attributed to the Austrian designer Carl Auböck.
The tree fragment has the perfect shape, the three black lacquered metal legs are fixed in the wood.
The table is in good authentic condition, it is not marked.

‘Early pieces featured legs made of varnished iron pipes, when the economy began to boom, he exchanged them for brass ones’.
