Mac Gee Wall Unit by Philippe Starck for Baleri Italia, 1984

Mac Gee is a book shelf designed by Philippe Starck, it is made in cooperation with Baleri Italia in 1984 in the beginning of Starcks career.
This Mac Gee wall unit is made of black metal. The central pillar has to be fixed on the wall. The five shelves of decreasing depth are inspired by the blade profile of an airplane.
It looks like a ladder, an “objet trouvé”, which was modefied to a bookshelf.
This wall unit is in very good condition, with some minor scratches, normal sign of age and use. It is marked.
