Mac Gee Book Shelf by Philippe Starck for Baleri Italia, 1984

The Mac Gee book shelf was designed by Philippe Starck in cooperation with Baleri Italia in 1984 in the beginning of his career. This Mac Gee book shelf is made of black metal. The central pillar has to be fixed on the wall. The five shelves of decreasing depth are inspired by the blade profile of an airplane.
It looks like a ladder, an “objet trouvé”, which was modefied to a bookshelf.
This wall unit is in very good condition, with some minor scratches, normal signs of age and use. It is marked.
