The Lounge Seating was designed by Trix and Robert Haussmann in 1988 and manufactured by Knoll. The Lounge Seating rank amongst the most important icons of postmodern Swiss design.
Husband and wife design partners Robert and Trix Haussmann both have impressive roots in modern architecture. Robert studied under architecture greats Johannes Itten, Gerrit Rietveld and Willy Guhl. Trix Haussmann studied under Valerio Olgiati and Ernst Gisel. Since then, they have created an extensive portfolio of work, garnering international renown for their command of style and form.
Their lounge seating collection featured a combination of soft and hard edges, producing clean, elegant lines and superlative comfort.
This sofa is in very good vintage condition. The purple wool upholstery is still in very good condition and cleaned.
