LC4 Blond d'Aquitaine 2011 Lounge Chair by Le Corbusier, Jeanneret et Perriand for Cassina limited edition
The lounge chair LC4 was designed by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret et Charlotte for the Salon d’Automne in Paris.
This lounge chair with a black steel base, an adjustable polished chrome plated metal tubular frame and a headrest in black leather is made by Cassina. The seating is covered with bovine fur from the ‘Blond d’aquitaine’. It is in perfect condition.
Designed in 1928 this chair became famous in 1965 with Cassina. The LC4 is the definitive chaise longue: built in a shape designed for relaxation, the chair was created when the three designers teamed together to put man at the centre of their design, taking the idea that form and function should be at the service of relaxation, creating a perfect balance between its geometric purity and its ergonomic intent.
This LC4 is a limited edition produced in 2011. Only 200 pieces were produced, this one is the 94th that was made. It is marked and numbered 93232.
