Impressive Sculptural Chandelier by Gaetano Sciolari
Impressive Sculptural Chandelier by Gaetano Sciolari
Gaetano Sciolari designed this large sculptural chandelier for Lightolier, Italy in the 1970s.
This chandelier is very impressive with 22 lights made of polished chrome, brushed aluminium and glass.
In this design Gaetano Sciolari playfully adapts the scientific helix form to create a geometic sculpture.
Fascinating from every direction, the combination of highly polished chrome with brushed aluminium adds further depth and texture.
From a central highly polished chrome column radiate three arms.
Each arm is a descending series of 7 similar chrome illuminated cylinders.
These are joined together by brushed aluminum arches which finish re-attaching to the central column.
At the bottom of each cylinder there is a removable textured clear glass shade that unscrews to change the bulb and at the top there is a brushed aluminum cap.
There is also a light at the bottom of the central column to make a total of 22 lights.
This amazing large chandelier is in perfect vintage condition, very clean, newly rewired and in full working order, with the original chain (100 cm) and a new cable cup.
The light bulbs are included.
