Impressive Pair of Black Lacquered Table Lamps by Jean Claude Dresse
This exclusive pair of table lamps was designed and created in the Atelier of Marcel and Jean-Claude Dresse. The lamps can be dated in the 1970s.
The base is made of glossy black lacquered resin with bone inlay. The artist created a geometric design with rectangular bone pieces in different colors of golden brown. Typical for the work of Dresse is the incised swirling line art. Both lamps are in very good condition with their authentic silk lamp shade.
The workshop of Dresse was active from the mid-1960s to the mid-1980s. It was known for its exclusive designs and creations in metal mosaics, brass, bone, mineral stones, lacquer and resin. All creations were measure made for the greatest decorators and designers of that era in Belgium and Paris.
