Impressive Anglo-Indian Throne

This extraordinary Anglo-Indian carved hardwood armchair or throne can be dated in the late 19th century.
The backrest is exquisitely carved with an image of Krishna and Vishnu surrounded by florals.
The top is decorated with three carved figures.
The solid wooden seat raised on elaborately carved front legs featuring elephants, tigers heads and peacocks.
The armrests are decorated with tigres and crocodiles.
This impressive throne chair is cleaned and waxed in our workshop. It is still in very good condition, with normal signs of age and use.
