Glass Coffee Table by Peter Ghyczy

This impressive glass and brass coffee table is a nice example of the high quality design of Peter Ghyczy. It can be dated in the 1980s.
The thick glass (15mm) top rests on a base made of 4 glass plates hold together by a brass joint with the Ghyczy logo.
Typical for the sand-casting process, small irregularities may exist, even in the polished surface. This coffee table is in very good vintage condition.

Born in Budapest, Peter Ghyczy started his career as an architect in Germany.
He has been living in the Netherlands for many years and this is where he founded his company, where he creates and produces his furniture: new interpretations of classic forms, high-grade materials and solid craftsmanship are his characteristics.
