Fluorescent and Silver Serigraph Silkscreen by Helene Keil, 3/25, 1970

Helene Keil (1948 – 2018) was a Belgian Artist, Light Color Therapist and Writer. She studied Arts at the Provincial Higher Institute for Architectures Fine Arts Hasselt, promotion 1969. After graduating she immediately joined The Research Group with Jos Jans, Hugo Duchateau, Vincent van der Meersch and Jan Withofs as members. She wanted a fresh wind to blow in Limburg’s artistic life. The group exhibited both in Belgium and abroad. She was also a member of Art Made in Belgium and the Hagadessa Design team, which she co-founded in 1992 with the aim of studying ecological and organic design in architecture and interior design.

In her early work Helene Keil had the intention to make art that deviated from the prevailing blackness. She felt that art had to express joy and lead to optimism. In the beginning she makes play boxes and colourful play bags in fabric. In her work come bright, cheerful colors and shapes. She makes paintings, lithographs, sculptures and other objects.

This fluorescent serigraph silkscreen is a colorful and optimistic work. The fluorescent colors orange and blue and the silver spots are difficult to capture on a photo. In real life this work is more expressive.
It is created in 1970 and number 3 of an edition of 25.
The work is in good condition, with a new passe-partout and frame. The price is all inclusive.
