Willy Van Der Meeren designed the F1 armchair for Tubax in the early 1950s. This armchair has a black lacquered frame and a wooden seat and back covered with shiny vinyl with a 1950s print.
It is a very comfortable chair. This F1 armchair is complete authentic of the 1950s. It is an old edition with nice printed vinyl, very hard to find.
The chair is in good condition.

Willy van der Meeren (1923 – 2002) was a Belgian architect and furniture designer, he played a prominent role in the Belgian furniture design of the 1950s. From 1951 to 1958 he designed for Tubax a whole catalogue of furniture for “the contemporary home”.
