F1 Dining or Desk Chair by Willy Van Der Meeren for Tubax

The F1 desk chair was designed by Willy Van Der Meeren for Tubax in the early 1950s.
The frame is made of black lacquered metal, the seat and back are made of wood with a vinyl upholstery, the armrests are made of natural wood.
The 3 chairs are in good vintage condition, with some minor marks on the vinyl. They are complete authentic of the 1950s!

Willy Van Der Meeren (1923-2002) played a prominent role in the Belgian furniture design of the 1950s. From 1951 to 1958 he designed for Tubax a whole catalogue of furniture for “the contemporary home”.
