Enzo Schoenaers - Recup G
Enzo Schoenaers - Recup G
The Recup G furniture collection is entirely designed and made by Enzo Schoenaers.
On the one hand, Enzo’s inspiration and ideas are forged and shapen through the effortful, but worthwile process of experimentation.
On the other hand, traditional production processes, which were passed from his father to him, have always been an important corner stone in order to develop and realize those ideas.
All pieces of furniture are constructed from recycled wooden slats. By applying different types of wood joints and construction techniques, combined with a profound knowledge of the wood, the furniture is characterized by open, sturdy structures that are solely made of wood. In fact, not a single piece of furniture contains a screw, nail or other connecting material.
Every single piece of furniture consists of slats with an identical size, as indicated by the name of the furniture. In a nutshell, this fixed size of the slats determines, to the extent that it remains practical, everything regarding the dimensions of that specific piece of furniture, ranging from the distances between to the size of the elements. Working with different sizes of slats ensures that the recovered wood is always fully utilized and therefore, that waste is minimized. For example, if slats are not sufficiently long for table 24, they can be used for table 18 or, as last resort, for table 15.
We offer you the prototypes, but you can also order more pieces in different dimensions, on request.
