This chair is a recent production from Vitra with a plastic shell.
The original fiberglass side chair is a design of Charles and Ray Eames.
An absolute classic, and one of the Eames’ best-known designs.
The molded fiberglass chair was born out of a chair originally designed in metal for MoMA’s International Competition for Low-Cost Furniture Design in 1948.
In 1950 the material was changed to fiberglass.
The chair is in perfect condition.
