Dining Chairs by Willy Van Der Meeren for Tubax
Dining Chairs by Willy Van Der Meeren for Tubax
These colorful dining chairs were designed by Willy Van Der Meeren for Tubax in the late 1950s.
The chairs are made of white lacquered metal with wooden seat and back covered with vinyl.
The chairs are authentic from the 1950s, with normal signs of age and use. The vinyl has obvious signs of use and discoloration, visible on the detail photos.
Great chairs, hard to find in this authentic condition.
Willy Van Der Meeren (1923-2002) played a prominent role in the Belgian furniture design of the 1950s. From 1951 to 1958 he designed for Tubax a whole catalogue of furniture for “the contemporary home”.
