Desk Chair F1 by Willy Van Der Meeren for Tubax

This great 1950s desk armchair F1 was designed by Willy Van Der Meeren for Tubax.
The frame is made of black lacquered metal, the seat and back are made of wood with a blue vinyl upholstery, the armrests are made of natural wood.
This chair is in good vintage condition, with some marks on the vinyl. It is complete authentic of the 1950s!

Willy Van Der Meeren (1923-2002) played a prominent role in the Belgian furniture design of the 1950s. From 1951 to 1958 he designed for Tubax a whole catalogue of furniture for “the contemporary home”.
