Chandelier 2042/18 by Gino Sarfatti for Arteluce
Chandelier 2042/18 by Gino Sarfatti for Arteluce
‘Let’s make a pearl necklace’ Gino Sarfatti
This great chandelier was designed by Gino Sarfatti in 1963 for Arteluce, Italy. The 18 spherical diffusers in frosted glass are simply resting on the ring-shaped supports. The aluminum parts are lacquered in white.
This authentic chandelier is in very good condition. The ceiling part has a small torsion dent, barely visible. We’ve tried to take some detail pictures. The electricity is checked and in perfect working condition.
The chandelier is marked with the Arteluce label. We have one extra sphere.
The chandelier 2042 is part of one of the most successful collections of Gino Sarfatti.
The same sphere and ring system was used to decorate the public areas of the Teatro Regio in Turin, designed by Carlo Mollino between 1967 and 1973. The lighting design was trusted to Gino Sarfatti, it was one of his latest and perhaps his most monumental project.
This grandiose chandelier will be an eyecatcher in your interior, classic or modern.
