Black Chair A by Lucien Engels, 1957
In 1954 Lucien Engels designed the holiday home for children ‘Emile Vandervelde II’ in Oostduinkerke, Belgium.
It was an amazing overall project: he designed the buildings, the interior and the furniture as well.
Engels used powerfull colors for the children.
The holiday home was shameless demolished in 1995. Only a few chairs, tables and cabinets were saved…
We offer you an original chair, type A. Engels designed this chair for the dining room for the children.
The chairs are made of beech wood with a black lacquered back.
This chair is in very good condition with normal signs of age and use. The backrest is repaint in the authentic color.
