Abstract Metal Sculpture Nico Betjes, 1976

This abstract metal sculpture was made by the Dutch artist Nico Betjes (1941-2003).

He loved to work with metal.

He created an abstract organic composition with compressed metal.

By putting it on a bluestone base it became a sculpture.

Nico Betjes was probably inspired by the work of the famous French artist César (Baldacinni), member of the artistic movement: Nouveau Réalisme.

This sculpture is signed and dated.
