Tankette by Paolo Pallucco & Mireille Rivier
Tankette by Paolo Pallucco & Mireille Rivier
This table is design by Paolo Palluco & Mireille Rivier in 1987. Paolo Pallucco and his wife Mireille Rivier studied architecture and are known for their radical design from the 80ties.
Inspired by his many travels to Japan, Palluco aligned his vision to a very dark minimalist style, inspired by the three words “duro, semplice, and scuro” (durable, simple and dark), that define his creations.
You can consider this table more as a piece of art than a functional table.
Info from the original catalogue in 1987:
“Low table. Framework in steel channel, C section, with springs of adjustment. Outer layer in aluminium profile, C section, jointed and attached to two belts in natural rubber. Wheels in aluminium die-casting. Epoxy powder finish, black colored.”
I have been looking more then 15 years to buy it, it is definitly one off my favorite designs ever.
This table has been repainted in a black powder finish as it has been originally.
