Hollywood Floor Lamp by Matteo Thun for Tronconi, 1989
Hollywood Floor Lamp by Matteo Thun for Tronconi, 1989
This postmodern floor lamp was designed by Matteo Thun in the lighting collection ‘Hollywood’ for Tronconi in 1989. The Hollywood lamp collection in aluminum was inspired by lanterns.
Matteo Thun co-founded the ‘Memphis’ group in Milan in 1981 with Ettore Sottsass and opened his own studio in Milan in 1984. The exciting postmodern ideas of these years proved influential in his subsequent career.
This lamp is a great postmodern design. It has a double switch that give you the opportunity to use the ‘up-lighter’ and the ‘stem-lighter’ separately or together.
This rare floor lamp is in very good vintage condition.
