This black CHL95 polyester lounge chair was designed by Maarten Van Severen in 1995 and manufactured by Lensvelt in 2013.
The First Series presented by Dutch furniture manufacturer Lensvelt comprises pieces designed by Van Severen between 1986, when he founded his studio in the Belgian city of Ghent, and his death in 2005. Maarten Van Severen was a personal friend of Hans Lensvelt.
The collection of Maarten van Severen has been officially launched September 2013 in Amsterdam, in the canal house of Lensvelt
Lensvelt manufactured only 3 pieces of the MVS CHL95 for this launch and to present on fairs, like the Salone del Mobile in Milan.
We present you one of these 3 lounge chairs.
This unique lounge chair is in very good condition, with normal signs of age and use.
Maarten Van Severen (1956 – 2005) is one of the best-known contemporary Belgian designers. In the late eighties he started to create furniture in his own workshop in Gent. His designs are simple, clear and well thought-out.
They reflect his quest for perfection in form, detail and execution.
