Sideboard by Florence Knoll

This minimalist sideboard was designed by Florence Knoll in 1961 for Knoll Int.
Florence Knoll revolutionized private office design by replacing the executive desk with a table, so she needed a place for all the stuff that’s normally in the desk drawers. Her solution was a low sideboard. This iconic design works as well in a dining room as in an office.
This sideboard features a body and doors of white lacquered wood, an elegant chromed base, chromed handles and a Carrara marble top. The back side is finished with white lacquer, so this sideboard can be used as room divider.
It is an old vintage piece with normal signs of age and use.  There’s a lock integrated in the marble top, but unfortunately the key is missing.
The overall condition of this sideboard is very good.
