Visor or Moon lamp by Verner Panton for Louis Poulsen
Visor or Moon lamp by Verner Panton for Louis Poulsen
The Moon or Visor Lamp is one of Verner Panton’s earliest lighting designs. He designed it in 1960 for Louis Poulsen, initially in metal, but later in plastic.
The Moon lamp reflects his fascination with geometry and the emergence of Op Art of the 1960s.
This lamp consists of 9 ring-shaped, solid-coloured white plastic discs which are suspended around the centrally located bulb. The fan-shaped discs hide the bulb and at the same time serve as reflectors, through which a soft light is spread throughout the room.
This lamp is in very good vintage condition and rewired.
