Coffee Table PK61 by Poul Kjaeholm for Kold Christensen

This elementary and minimalistic coffee table PK61 was designed by Poul Kjaerholm for Kold Christensen in 1956.
The four base elements are joined with machine screws that lend the table part of its unique look. The removable tabletop demonstrates Kjærholm’s recurring principle of using gravity to keep the elements in place.
The base is made of matte chromium-plated steel and the top is made of Arabescato marble.
This coffee table is very old and not marked. It is still in very good condition. The base has lost some chrome and the marble top has some little scratches, it is also missing some little ships: normal signs of age and use. Because of the pure materials it don’t disturb.
It is really a nice pure vintage piece.
