The Aluminium Group chair was designed by Charles and Ray Eames for a special private project in 1958.
Eero Saarinen and Alexander Girard were designing the J. Irwin Miller house in Columbus, Indiana, USA.
They wanted a high-quality seating product for outdoor use and asked Charles and Ray Eames to develop one. Later, this chair became a design icon as the Alugroup chair.
The original producer was Herman Miller.
These Alugroup chairs are produced in 1983 by Herman Miller.
The frame is made of chromium-plated aluminium and the seat is in light grey fabric.
It is in very good vintage condition and marked 681/82 938-006.
